Distinguishing Ageless Rugs from Competitors
What distinguishes us from competitors such as the Asadorian rug company, Amini’s galleria (Amini’s), Rugs by Saga, and others?
For one, our rugs are unique.
That’s not to say that our competitors don’t have a unique rug or two, but there’s also a lot of the “same old”. A large part of this has to do with stale merchandise in the colors of years gone by.
We aggressively move out rugs that we’ve had for a few years.
And, we have made the commitment to continually invest in new rugs. Also, while we certainly purchase rugs that are a great value for our customers, we don’t buy rugs “by the pound”. We could purchase generic merchandise and work on a higher margin, but that’s not our business plan. To be honest, I’d just as soon sell trinkets as I would sell “seen one, seen them all” rugs.
What else distinguishes us from competitors such as Amini, Rugs By Saga, and the Asadorian rug company (as well as others)?
We feel that our service is second to one. When one visits us they will be assisted by myself, my wife, or my mother. No one but our family assists customers. Also, we have only one focus–the selling of fine rugs. It must be questioned whether one can juggle cleaning rugs, selling furniture, and so forth while maintaining a full devotion to rugs.
Are there any other factors that distinguish us from competitors such as Rugs by Saga, Amini, and the asadorian rug company?
Yes. We work with vendors that we consider to be the finest in the world of hand-knotted rugs. Our vendors include Samad, Tufenkian, Tamarian, Woven Legends, Megerian, Atiyeh international, Safavieh, Kalaty, and many others. In no way could one ever accuse their rugs as being “seen one seen them all”. Many of our vendors have chosen to only sell to us in the St. Louis area. Why? Because they realize that we understand fine rugs, do not degrade their products by intermixing them with generic merchandise, provide excellent service to our customers–essentially we’re the sort of gallery that vendors are eager to be represented at.
